Marsha Selzer, HHP, Owner
Marsha grew up working and playing on
a farm in New Jersey, with thoughts of becoming a
veterinarian. Her
first interest in massage came while rubbing racehorses
legs as an adolescent. Pursuing her interest in holistic
health, she attended Ramapo College and UCLA, earning a degree in Psychology.
She later attended the Potomac Massage
Therapy Institute in Washington, DC, and her massage
career started at the renown Watergate Hotel. Her diverse
clientele included politicians, diplomats, business
professionals, educators, and performers at the Kennedy
Center and Ford Theatre. She also spent time in
Newport, RI, bringing her massage talents to the summer
colony there. In 1979, she started Massage
Extraordinaire in San Diego, within Frog's Fitness in Mission Valley. An
avid sports enthusiast, Marsha's specialty is sportsmassage and she is one of the top massage therapists
in the San Diego sporting world. Clients include the
San Diego Chargers and athletes
in the NBA (first team-paid massage therapist in the NBA), MLB,
arena football, soccer, tennis, rugby, boxing, sailing,
volleyball, and many other sports. Her clients also include performers from
the American Ballet and Cirque de Soleil.
Her expertise in therapeutic massage techniques along with her
genuine care and concern for the needs of her clients has
earned her the title of BEST
MASSAGE THERAPIST in San Diego. She believes her hands are a gift, her
techniques are intuitive, and her energy, enthusiasm and
success are a result of the
passion she has for the profession.
When she can squeeze it in, she enjoys outdoor activities,
traveling, learning, sports, theatre, music, literature,
spending time with family and friends, and laughing. |
